Marcella Jordanelle Ridge | Utah

Nestled within Utah’s majestic Wasatch Back, Marcella emerges as a thoughtful response to its dramatic mountain setting. The community unfolds across several thousand acres of the broader Jordanelle Ridge expanse, where each element has been carefully considered to honor the landscape while creating meaningful connections between inhabitants and their surroundings.

The centerpiece of this vision is the Mountain West’s first Tiger Woods-designed golf course—an 18-hole championship journey that follows the natural contours of the land, rising to become one of Utah’s highest-elevation courses. This initial course, with its sister layout to follow, establishes a dialogue between the built and natural environments that defines the community’s ethos.

Our studio’s involvement extends beyond mere planning to crafting experiences that celebrate the rhythms of mountain living throughout all seasons. The family clubhouse we’re designing serves as a gathering place where architectural form responds to function while framing spectacular vistas. The wellness center emerges from the landscape as a sanctuary for renewal, while the racquet club and expansive Central Park create opportunities for active engagement with the outdoors.

This 60+ acre park functions as the community’s living room—a carefully orchestrated composition of intimate gathering spaces, recreational amenities, and mindfully placed cottages that invite extended stays within the landscape. Walking paths thread through the property, creating moments of discovery and connection with the natural world that surrounds this exceptional mountain community.
